Wild, scenic, and dammed - what future for our water ?
Election meeting on Water Issues
Wednesday 24 August at 7.30 pm
Knox Church Hall
Corner Bealey Ave and Victoria Street, Christchurch.
Come along and hear what the political parties have to say about how
they will improve the state of Canterbury's rivers and groundwater, and
ask your questions.
Representatives from all major political parties have been invited.
Confirmed attendees include: Metiria Turei, Green Party MP and Nick
Smith, National Party MP.
Introductory talk by Guy Salmon, Ecologic.
The meeting is organised by the Living Rivers Coalition and the Water
Rights Trust. Living Rivers Coalition members are Royal Forest and Bird
Protection Society, Fish and Game New Zealand, Federated Mountain Clubs,
and New Zealand Recreational Canoeing Association.
